Bryan G. Barrish Press Release 4 - Regency Rehabilitation Center Partners with Hospice of Illinois to Host Forum for Caregivers of the Terminally Ill
(Chicago, Illinois – August 15, 2011) – Regency Rehabilitation Center, a SIR Management facility, will partner with Hospice of Illinois to host a forum for caregivers who serve sick and terminally ill patients in Niles, Illinois on Sunday, August 28th, 2011.
Caregivers and family members are invited to a presentation called “Caring for the Caregivers: How to Reduce Stress.” delivered by Sue Dziewior, Hospice of Illinois Administrator. Ms. Dziewior has an impressive history of working with the terminally ill and will bring a focused approach to providing support to caregivers who care for those that are ill.
In 2009, over 1.5 million Americans were under the care of hospice workers and home caregivers. With the baby boomer generation aging, these numbers are expected to increase, which means the number of caregivers will also need to grow. Home care and hospice professionals will be at the forefront of patient care and will need to stay healthy.
Bryan Barrish, President of SIR Management, understands the value of a healthy support network. “Caregivers, and especially family caregivers, are generous, kind people who often put themselves last as they care for those in need. This forum will focus on the importance of caring for oneself in order to care for others.”
